He works closely with several national agencies to develop and improve the use and style of intra-ocular lenses to make them better and safer for cataract patients.
Dr. Croley commits numerous hours each year to additional specialized training in ophthalmology to provide the latest advances and technology to his patients. In addition, he shares this knowledge and training with other eye doctors, eye clinics, and medical professionals and has designed his surgery facility so that they can observe surgical procedures in progress.
Dr. Croley’s outside interests include coaching Little League, piloting his own private plane and committing his time to community service activities here in Ocala. Once a highly regarded professional baseball prospect, he left his own “field of dreams” to pursue a greater dream in the field of medicine.
His efforts resulted in the creation of Central Florida Eye Institute in Ocala, which is Marion County’s first Ambulatory Outpatient Care Center. With over 25 employees, Central Florida Eye Institute is considered by many to be one of Florida’s premier eye care facilities.
Dr. Croley is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society and the Florida Ophthalmic Society. His special interest is in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma and laser vision correction surgery (LASIK/PRK).
Dr. Croley also provides free educational seminars to our Ocala & Marion County community for large or small groups. Dr. Croley believes good medicine is a partnership and is happy to share eye care and health information and technology with others so they may be informed about how to keep their eyes healthy for a lifetime of good vision.
